Icon was commissioned to create the identity and campaign for Swansea University's entry into a crowdfunding competition to win £100,000 of investment in 50 bikes across 5 docking stations from Santander as part of the Santander Cycles Scheme
From exhibition stands to social media graphics, our illustrative solution provided Swansea University with an adaptable set of vibrant designs with priority call to action messages that worked cohesively across a range of touchpoints to create a strong bilingual campaign in English & Welsh.
Working with the Santander colour palette, Icon's bespoke illustrations depicted the city and the cycling community in a refreshing and inclusive manner.
The design team also developed a toolkit of elements and guidelines ensuring the unique identity was carried across all the creatives, allowing the team at Swansea University to easily adapt social media graphics as the competition went on for their PR, digital and social media channels.
The campaign saw Swansea beat off competition from all the other universities, helping deliver an environmental and community driven cycling initiative for the city.
