It's back to university for us. With our previous campaigns doing great things for Swansea's undergraduate recruitment, it was time to think afresh for their next three-year campaign. Crafting the undergraduate recruitment campaign for Swansea University’s centenary year, we explored new and exciting ways to give the campaign an impact worthy of the 100th anniversary celebrations. To set Swansea apart from their competitors and with positive feedback from focus groups and questionnaires, we landed on an illustrated approach; one that let us showcase Swansea and the University in a way that a photograph can’t.

For the 2020 recruitment campaign, we’ve rolled out various illustrations across all manner of marketing material from billboards and exhibition stands to Snapchat and Swansea University’s website. It also allowed for a fresh take on the prospectus, where we were able to use illustration to highlight key messages, break down more complex information and make it an exciting read for future Swansea University students.
