Newport Food Festival

Putting Newport on the national food map was a tasty challenge for Icon. And with our visual identity and creative campaign, we helped the city's first ever food festival become a mouthwatering event.

Food brings people together, and the Newport Food Festival's aim was to do exactly that. Showcasing the feast of culinary talent in the city and beyond, it brought together restaurants, suppliers, growers, manufacturers and the public. We worked closely with the marketing team at Newport Unlimited, devising the brand strategy and developing an irresistible creative campaign.

It began with some forks. Wittily illustrating Newport's cityscape, each one balances contrasting morsels to represent the city's multicultural food scene. This colourful and engaging brand identity defined the look of the Festival – we even dressed the venues with forks, suspending 7-foot high models from the ceilings. Creative, distinctive and deliciously good fun, our work helped ensure that the Festival was a satisfying success.
