Formed as a Business Improvement District (BID), Newport Now oversees the marketing and management of city centre initiatives, representing more than 600 businesses from independent hairdressers & retailers through to large scale entertainment venues and care providers in the city centre.

For BID Manager, Kevin Ward and Board members, the priority was to deliver a more user-friendly website, providing easier online access to BID services including shop improvement grant application forms and the street ambassador scheme as well as showcasing the events and promotional activity supported by the partnership.

We started with an audit of the existing site and worked with the BID to create a new site architecture that would showcase its content in a clear and logical way. Visually, the website uses design elements and bold colours from the Newport Now branding, utilising the dynamic angled design to highlight key information throughout the site underpinned with engaging photography of the city adding to a sense of place. Integrating an easy to use blog and subscribers section, the website allowed the BID Manager to manage the member communications as well as creating an easy to use function linking news items to social media.

'Androulla and her team worked hand in hand with us at every stage from concept to completion, meaning we had input throughout the process.

We are thrilled with our new site and cannot recommend Icon Creative highly enough.'
