A big up to all the fantastic staff and students from Swansea University who made Varsity 2024 such a memorable occasion.
Icon has sponsored this epic competition between Swansea University and Cardiff University for over 8 years and its fair to say that the atmosphere and camaraderie's second to none, uniting supporters and participants alike in a celebration of Welsh sport.
But Varsity isn't just about the competition: the event provides a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with our friends at Swansea Uni, some of whom we've had the pleasure of working with for over two decades, all while enjoying the warmth of traditional Welsh hospitality.
On the night, the climax of Varsity unfolded in Swansea's iconic rugby stadium, where two gripping rugby matches kept 10 000 supporters in fine voice. After a close first half, the women's game was won decisively by Cardiff University who raced ahead to a 71 - 12 final score. Congratulations were in order for Swansea University Mens team, whose hard-fought victory over Cardiff University, with a score of 44 - 28 saw the Varsity Cup stay in Swansea.
