Thursday is the New Friday

We love an away day; especially one when the sun is shining! It's a great opportunity to take time out together, enjoy good food and have a bit of an adventure. And without fail, London always delivers.

Originally intended as a Christmas trip, our plans were derailed (!) by train cancellations again so exchanging a dark December day for a sunny June outing turned out to be a brilliant decision.

First stop, the Harry Potter Studio Tours. It’s one of our favourite destinations; apart from being avid Harry Potter fans, the studio’s storytelling combined with a meticulous attention to detail and authenticity is mind blowing. Talk about team work and vision!

You have to check out the new Gringotts Wizarding Bank. Combining grandeur with goblins (and a suitably timed, photo opportunity), the 16,500sqft expansion has been designed and built by many of the original crew members who worked on the film series. Rumour has it, the Prop-making Department, created over 210,000 coins for the final two films alone.

Our whistlestop tour, took us to the buzz of Covent Garden, a melting pot of office workers, tourists and shoppers enjoying the cooler temperatures of the early evening. A stop off for a Flat Iron steak, cold beer and cocktails before jumping on the train home was a perfect ending to a magical team day out.
